AC
Meaning alternating current, a current which changes magnitude as well as reverses direction regularly.
DC
Meaning direct current, a current which flows in one direction only.
transformer
A device used within an alternating current which can adjust the voltage or potential difference.
frequency
The rate that current changes direction per second.
oscilloscope
Device which shows oscillations which can be viewed on a screen.
