Ecologist

Ecologists study the relationships between living organisms and their environment. They often work outdoors collecting data on plants, animals, and ecosystems, and may also spend time analysing results in laboratories or offices. Projects can range from monitoring endangered species to advising on the environmental impact of construction or land use. Many ecologists work for environmental consultancies, government agencies, charities, or research institutions. The work can be varied and may involve travel, fieldwork in different weather conditions, and collaboration with other scientists and stakeholders.
