Imagine all the roads you travel on every day, from the small lane near your house to big motorways. Road Workers are the amazing people who build, fix, and look after these roads! They make sure our journeys are safe and comfortable. Their job involves lots of different tasks, like digging up old parts of the road, laying down fresh tarmac which is that black, sticky stuff, and painting lines like white markings and yellow boxes. They also put up signs and help keep drains clear so water doesnt sit on the road. Road Workers use special tools and big machines, like diggers, rollers, and even trucks that spray hot tarmac. They work outdoors in all kinds of weather, so they need to be strong and like working outside. It is a really important job because without good roads, it would be much harder for us to get to school, go on holidays, or for shops to get their deliveries!
