Volcanologist

Imagine a giant mountain that can sometimes rumble and send out smoke and fire! A volcanologist is like a detective for these amazing mountains called volcanoes. They study volcanoes to understand how they work and why they erupt. They might collect rocks and gas from around volcanoes, use special instruments to listen to the sounds inside the Earth, or even fly drones over them to see what's happening. Their important job helps keep people safe who live near volcanoes by predicting when an eruption might happen. It's an exciting job that often involves travelling to different parts of the world where volcanoes are found, sometimes even very hot or cold places. They spend time both outside, exploring volcanoes, and inside, in labs and offices, looking at all the information they've gathered.
