A Conservation Biologist is a scientist who works to protect and manage natural habitats and wildlife species. They study ecosystems, monitor animal and plant populations, and develop plans to conserve biodiversity. Work can take place both outdoors, conducting field research, and indoors, analysing data and writing reports. Conservation Biologists often collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and environmental organisations to develop strategies for habitat restoration, species protection, and environmental policy. Typical duties include carrying out surveys, using technology such as GIS mapping, and running educational programmes to raise awareness about conservation issues.
