hyperopia (long-sightedness)
a condition where the eye is unable to focus on close objects because the lens focuses light behind the retina
concave lens
a lens that curves inward and diverges light rays, used to correct short-sightedness
cataract
a condition in which the lens of the eye becomes cloudy, preventing light from passing through clearly and causing blurred vision
convex lens
a lens that curves outward and converges light rays, used to correct long-sightedness
myopia (short-sightedness)
a condition where the eye is unable to focus on distant objects because the lens focuses light in front of the retina
