nanoparticle

a very small particle between 1 and 100 nanometres in size, often with unique properties due to its size

standard form

a way of writing very large or very small numbers using powers of 10 (e.g., 1 × 10⁻⁹)

nanometre (nm)

a unit of length equal to one billionth of a metre (1 × 10⁻⁹ m), used to measure particles at the nanoscale

catalyse

speed up a chemical reaction without being used up in the process
