the process by which a body of water becomes overly enriched with nutrients, leading to excessive growth of algae and other aquatic plants.
global dimming
a decrease in the amount of sunlight reaching the Earth's surface due to pollution particles in the atmosphere.

fog or haze intensified by smoke or other atmospheric pollutants
