Academic Researcher

Academic researchers work in universities, research institutes, and sometimes in partnership with industry to investigate specific topics within their field of expertise. Their work involves designing and conducting experiments or studies, analysing data, and publishing results in academic journals. Academic researchers also often present their findings at conferences and may contribute to teaching or supervising students. Research can be in a wide range of subjects including sciences, engineering, social sciences, humanities, and arts. Most academic researchers hold a PhD and often begin their careers as postdoctoral researchers before moving into more senior positions such as lecturer or principal investigator.
