Site managers are responsible for overseeing building sites to ensure that construction projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. They coordinate teams of workers, subcontractors, and suppliers, manage schedules, inspect work quality, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Site managers also handle site paperwork, communicate with clients and architects, and resolve any issues that arise during construction. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and detailed knowledge of building processes. Most site managers have relevant construction experience and may have qualifications such as an HNC or HND in construction management, or NVQs in site management.
