Paramedic

View this career for different education levels:

Paramedics are frontline healthcare professionals who provide emergency medical care to patients at the scene of accidents, in their homes, or while transporting them to hospital. They are trained to assess a patient's condition, provide lifesaving treatment, and make quick decisions under pressure. Paramedics drive or work alongside ambulance crews and use specialised equipment to deliver care. The role can be physically and emotionally demanding, but it is also highly rewarding for those who want to make a difference in their community. Paramedics need to complete a degree in paramedic science and register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) to practise in the UK.
