Heather Bingham joins the Curriculum Team

Heather starts as a science writer and presenter after gaining a first-class BSc degree in Climate Science at the University of East Anglia.

We are pleased to welcome Heather Bingham to our team! Heather has now been working at Developing Experts for a month within the curriculum team as a science writer and presenter.

Heather recently completed her degree at the University of East Anglia, where she studied Climate Science. Her final year dissertation focussed on whether polar mesospheric clouds would become more common with the effects of climate change using a global climate model. Polar mesospheric clouds are rare clouds which form at the poles high in the atmosphere in a layer known as the mesosphere, lending the clouds their name. As the lowest layer of the atmosphere (the troposphere) warms due to climate change, the mesosphere will cool, which creates conditions more favourable to cloud formation in the mesophere.

As part of her degree, Heather also carried out a year in industry within the UEA Sustainability Team, where she worked closely with staff and students to help them work and live as sustainably as possible. Heather was also President of the Sustainability Society and the Union Council Representative of the Conservation and Wildlife Society at the UEA in her final year of study.
