We are expanding our team and are currently looking for talented and knowledgeable Secondary Geography Curriculum Writers with a passion for education and curriculum excellence.
This is a flexible, part-time freelance opportunity. Work will be allocated based on your subject expertise, availability and capacity.
You will be responsible for creating, reviewing and refining lesson plans and teaching materials for Key Stage 3 & 4 Geography, aligned specifically with the AQA specification. Your role will involve ensuring content accuracy, pedagogical clarity, curriculum alignment and opportunities for student engagement. You will also contribute innovative ideas to bring real-world geography into the classroom and enhance learner outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and review lesson content: Ensure all materials align with the KS4 AQA Geography specification and reflect current best practices in geography education.
Ensure subject accuracy and clarity: Apply your deep understanding of physical and human geography to ensure content is accurate, relevant and pitched appropriately for all learners.
Enhance engagement: Suggest ways to make lesson materials more interactive, engaging and meaningful, including links to case studies and real-world geographical contexts.
Quality assurance: Maintain the high standards expected from Developing Experts by ensuring all resources are accessible, inclusive and clearly structured for both new and experienced teachers.
