Tracy explains that children between the ages of 4 and 8 should drink 1.1 - 1.3 litres of water per day – that’s about 6 glasses full. As you get older you need to drink more water. Girls aged 9 - 13 should drink 1.3 to 1.5 litres per day and boys the same age should drink 1.5 to 1.7 litres per day.
