Some GM ingredients are available in supermarkets in the UK. The UK has allowed import of GM oilseed rape, maize, cottonseed oil, soybeans and sugar beet. These are mostly found in cooking oils. Most UK supermarkets have banned GM ingredients in their own-brand products. Why do you think this is?
